In order to perform the most accurate set of drawings please provide us the following:

    1. A full set of architectural & structural drawings.
    2. Cad details of aluminium store front & curtain wall systems.

The more information you provide the more accurate and professional your shop drawings will be.

Regardless of which size paper is used for your project, you are always guaranteed a professional, clean looking, easy to read set of drawings consisting of the following elements:

    • COVER SHEET: Contains project specifications, drawing legend to help the user understand the symbols/abbreviations used in the drawings , architect's name, contractor's name, project name & address, project number etc.

    • FLOOR PLAN SHEET: Contain plan views of the entire scope of work and include things like door swings, door numbers and frame locations.References are  made to the proper sheets within the shop drawings for the quick and easy location of the noted work. Since the key plans are for reference only, they are often noted as not to scale.

    • ELEVATION SHEET: Contain elevations of each frame or opening on the project complete with frame sizes, rough opening sizes, glass types, door numbers and detail reference bubbles. The detail balloons always reference sheet numbers for the quick and easy location of the details. Plan layouts and vertical sections are drawn for the elevations that need them. The typical scale for an elevation is 1/4”= 1’-0”

    • DETAIL SHEET: Contain the individual details for the project. Fastener types, perimeter construction configuration/composition and framing notes/extrusions/part numbers are just a few of the items you will find in the Detail sheet. All details are referenced to the architectural/structural drawings used to generate them for quick and easy coordination between these documents. Detail Sheet can be drawn full size or half size to suit the client's preference.

Upon completion of your shop drawings, the preferred method of delivery is to have the files e-mailed directly to you for printing in either .dwg, .dxf, .pdf or .plt format. If you don't have the ability to print your shop drawings, or don't want to get involved with this process, no problem - we'll find a reprographic shop (blueprinter) in your area and have them e-mailed directly to them so all you need to do is pick them up or have them delivered right to your office.
